| Howdy. My name is Stephen; I am a junior marketing major from The Woodlands, Texas, but most importantly I am the proudest member of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of 2009:
A A A WHOOP!
Thanks and Gig 'em. | | |
| I read through some of the older entries on here tonight. In the future I would really appreciate it if someone would let me know when I am doing nothing but rambling on in an embarrassingly self-absorbed manner. Unless of course you enjoy inane details of my life, in which case I have a story about how a squirrel chewed through a transformer at GBC and there was no A/C for the first part of the 11 o'clock service last Sunday.

(Stephen Fogg/THE BATTALION) Sophomore Environmental Design major Geoff Kornegay, senior Food Science major Chris Wagner and sophomore Spatial Sciences major Jordan Killingsworth pose for a portrait alongside the "Aggie Rally Rooster" during Sunday afternoon's game agaisnt Nebraska. The current rooster was originally a 18 pound fighting cock before becoming the second in the Rally Rooster Line.

(Stephen Fogg/THE BATTALION) Sophomore Biology major Viet Nguyen, Vice President of the Aggie Origami Society, folds a paper bowl Tuesday afternoon in the MSC. The Aggie Origami Society promotes the hobby of paper folding, Origami, among the student body and also uses the art in service events among the community
I listened to a sermon by a pastor and biblical commentator last night named David Guzik, who my dad introduced me to. One of his points made me stop and examine my own life recently. He said (paraphrased) that many (not all) Christians are either too horizontally focused, that is, they care greatly about other people but think little about their relationship with God, or too vertically focused, that is, they care greatly about their relationship with God but not so much about their relationships with others. Or, in some cases, a bit of both.
I've thought about where I fit in in the dichotomy. What about you?

| She sat a table away Staring into space In her own little world And I saw a tear in her eye Like a window to the mind Of a frightened little girl She never said a word But I know I clearly heard A cry for help And I wanted to answer I wanted to tell her
My heart goes out to you You don't even know me You don't even know Oh my heart goes out to you And I don't know what else to do To reach you now My heart goes out
But I'm still glued to my chair She's unaware There's little time And though my intentions are good If I'm misunderstood The price could be high I can't fix whatever's wrong But if I fail to pass along Someone cares The price could be greater This can't wait til later
For God has loved the world so much He send His only Son From Heaven to earth Well there's a distance love covered She's just a table over All she needs is a shoulder
My heart goes out to you You don't even know me You don't even know Oh, my heart goes out
Lord, help me do what I can do To reach her, to reach her
Oh my heart goes out to you You don't even know me You don't even know Oh, my heart goes out to you
Let me do what I can do to reach you now My heart goes out | | |
